Authorities have now released the identity of the man who intentionally plowed a white pickup truck into a crowd celebrating New Years in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, and say he did not act alone.
At least 10 people were killed and another 35 injured in the attack.
Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, has been named as the driver of the vehicle. He was dressed in full military gear, and opened fire on police after his vehicle came to a stop. Police then returned fire and killed him.
Police have stated that a Glock handgun and .308 caliber rifle equipped with optics and a sensor were recovered from the crime scene. Fox News confirmed that an ISIS flag was on the pickup.
Jabbar is a U.S. citizen who was born and raised in Texas, and even served in the U.S. Army.

Police have also stated that they found multiple IEDs in the area of the attack, and have stated that Jabbar did not alone, indicating there are other suspects under investigation.

A video is now circulating on social media of a man matching the same name, who identifies himself as Property Manager at Blue Meadow Properties and Team Lead for the Midas Group.
The man says he was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and now lives in Houston. He says he spent 10 years in the military.
It is NOT YET CONFIRMED whether this is the same man.

However, additional photos of what appear to be arrest mugshots or drivers license photos appear to match the video.

Authorities have confirmed that the pickup truck used to commit the horrific massacre was seen crossing the border from Mexico at Eagle Pass, Texas on November 16. (It was first reported that the truck crossed the border two days ago.) The pickup has a Texas license plate.
Authorities have stated that the person who drove the truck across the border in November was not the same person who used it drive into the crowd on Bourbon Street.
SUSPECT IDENTIFIED: The suspect in the New Orleans NYE attack was identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, who had an ISIS flag.
He was reportedly born and raised in Texas and served in the US Army.
