BREAKING NEWS: Federal agents shoot ‘armed man’ in Minneapolis leaving suspect ‘down’

From Daily MailA Border Patrol agent shot one person in Minneapolis during an altercation, leaving the individual ‘down’ as medics rush to the scene.

Several law enforcement sources told a Fox News reporter that a Border Patrol agent shot an unidentified person near 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue just after 10am Saturday morning, according to a post on X.

This is the third reported shooting in recent weeks involving federal agents in Minneapolis – coming after an ICE officer fatally shot a woman on January 7 and another federal agent wounded a man about a week later.


The suspect was transported to the hospital, according to NewsNation.

The suspect was armed  a weapon has been recovered at the scene, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told Fox News.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin wrote on X, “Multiple law enforcement sources tell me there has just been a Border Patrol involved shooting in Minneapolis near 26th Street & Nicollet Ave. with Border Patrol shooting a person. I’m told the person is ‘down’ and medics are working on them. No details yet on who it was or what led up to the shooting.

“Working sources and will update when I have more.”

Melugin also shared a photo of the gun lying on the passenger seat of a car. “DHS tells @FoxNews the suspect was armed with a gun, which has been recovered by federal agents,” he wrote.

In a post on X, Minneapolis city officials said, “We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area.”
