From KVOA: The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, and other agencies, returned to Nancy Guthrie’s home in Tucson as they followed up on new investigative leads. This comes as the search for the 84-year-old is in its 4th day.
On Feb. 4, PCSD deputies, the FBI and Border Patrol agents, including K-9s, returned to Nancy’s home located in the Catalina Foothills to follow up on new investigative leads. Two PCSD vehicles arrived to the scene, and the investigators brought a truck with them. People were seen walking inside of the home.
Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie, mother of TODAY show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, is suspected to be the victim of an abduction from her residence.
News 4 Tucson sources confirm that several family vehicles have been seized as part of the investigation, a standard procedure to piece together timelines and evidence.
Security footage, including doorbell and home surveillance video, is a major focus of the investigation, with the FBI assisting in its analysis. Authorities are also investigating unverified reports of ransom notes referencing Nancy Guthrie.

President Donald J. Trump said he’d contacted Savannah Guthrie.
“I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY.” He wrote on Truth Social. “We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family.”
Guthrie’s family issued a fresh plea for Nancy’s return.
“Everyone is looking for you, Mommy, everywhere,” Savannah Guthrie said in a video message posted on Wednesday night, joined by her siblings. “We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again.”
“Our mom is our heart and our home,” she said. “She is 84 years old, her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. She needs it not to suffer.”
“As a family, we are doing everything that we can,” she continued, apparently addressing rumors of a ransom motive. “We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please reach out to us.”
