Defeated 2024 Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris released a statement Sunday afternoon, as thousands of radical activists and rioters turned Los Angeles into a “war zone,” in protest of ICE arresting illegal alien criminals.
Harris, who once pushed a fundraiser to help bail Minneapolis rioters out of jail during the George Floyd riots in 2020, blamed the Trump administration for the lawless riots, claimed the demonstrations have been “overwhelmingly peaceful,” and voiced her support for the mob in the streets.
At the very moment the statement was released Sunday, the rioters were shutting down the freeway, attacking police, and burning cars.
But there is not one word in her statement about encouraging the violent rioters to stop.
Harris’ statement reads:
Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos. In addition to the recent ICE rais in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.
This administration’s actions are not about public safety – they’re about stoking fear. Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process.
Protest is a powerful tool – essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor and Governor have noted, demonstration in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.
I continue to support the millions of Americans who are standing up to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms.

Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, added his two-cents worth and confirmed his support for the rioters as well.
“I am a proud longtime resident of Los Angeles. I love this town, its people, and what it stands for. We Angelenos show up for each other, support each other. Let’s be clear: STANDING UP for others in the form of peaceful protest is not a threat. It’s the exercise of democracy,” he wrote.

Below are just some of the reactions pouring in on social media:
Will you be bailing them out too?
Is anyone surprised that she is siding with the rioters and insurrectionists burning down Los Angeles?
Your statement should be “do not block freeways or set things on fire”. Instead you’re back to blaming Trump, you guys still haven’t figured out why you lost. 🤦
You jailed people for weed, nobody asked you your fucking opinion about law enforcement.
Have you taken a look outside?
Fiery, but mostly peaceful. They’re really still running with that… 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kamala Harris sides with the mob. We really dodged a bullet.
It’s almost like you want the chaos to continue. 🤔
If you had done your job as border czar we wouldn’t have to be deporting so many people.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) wrote, “No surprise that the most incompetent Vice President in history stands with the illegal alien rioters.”
