BREAKING: Iranian drones strike U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia

Fox News reported Monday night that two Iranian drones have struck the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and a third drone is on its way.

Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin then announced, “The US Embassy in Riyadh was empty at the time of the Iranian drone strike, no injuries, official tells Fox.”

Following the attack, the Embassy announced:

Update | Security Alert: Shelter in Place – U.S. Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, (Mar.3, 2026) The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia has issued a shelter in place notification for Jeddah, Riyadh and Dhahran and are limiting non-essential travel to any military installations in the region – we recommend American citizens in the Kingdom to shelter in place immediately and avoid the Embassy until further notice due to an attack on the facility. The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia continues to monitor the regional situation.

Just minutes earlier, the Embassy had posted the following announcement on X:
