BREAKING: FBI’s Dan Bongino thinking of resigning after huge clash with AG Pam Bondi

From Fox News: FBI deputy director Dan Bongino is considering resigning over the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, a source told Fox News Digital, noting that Bongino took a day off from work on Friday due to his frustrations.

Bongino has not been seen in the office since Wednesday, a source told Fox News Digital.

The latest revelation comes on the heels of a heated argument between Bongino and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi that occurred on Wednesday at the White House, two sources confirmed.

The latest revelation comes on the heels of President Donald Trump’s quip to a White House reporter during a cabinet meeting, in which he called the late sex criminal and financier a “creep.”

More questions, and a lot of have surfaced after the Justice Department and the FBI released a joint report on Sunday, concluding that there is no Epstein “client list” that would provide details on who was involved in the infamous pedophile’s sexual predator scheme.

Axios also reported on the internal clash. The outlet wrote:

The dispute erupted Wednesday amid the fallout of the administration walking back its claims about Epstein by determining the convicted sex offender didn’t have a celebrity “client list,” and that he wasn’t murdered in his New York City prison cell in 2019.

Bongino didn’t come to work Friday, leading some insiders to believe he had quit. But administration officials say he’s still on the job, even as the internal tension over the Epstein case continues.

A source close to Bongino, though, said “he ain’t coming back.”

Citing two sources, Axios further stated that Bongino is upset with the way Bondi has handled the Epstein case, “because she had publicly overpromised and underdelivered disclosures about an Epstein “client list” that apparently never existed.”

Journalist Laura Loomer was first to break the news on the explosive fallout between Bongino and Bondi, and is calling for Bondi to be fired. Friday morning, Loomer announced:

Source tells me Dan Bongino is taking the day off today from his job as Deputy Director of the FBI, and there’s now speculation on whether or not he will return to his job at the @FBI over his disgust with Blondi’s lack of transparency and handling of the Epstein files.

Pam Blondi has brought total embarrassment to President Trump, @JDVance, @dbongino and @Kash_Patel. She has also LIED to the American people.

I’m told Kash and Bongino are furious with Blondi and the blowback she has caused them with her lack of transparency. Kash Patel and Dan Bongino should call for Blondi’s public resignation today to save themselves and to also push for full transparency into the Epstein files.

This is an issue the American people care deeply about. Someone needs to be fired for this. Giving Blondi courtesy to resign is more than she deserves. Trump should just FIRE her.

Loomer later added:

@dbongino is now seriously thinking about RESIGNING from the FBI as Deputy Director over Pam Blondi’s mishandling of the Jeffrey Epstein file release and the lack of transparency at the DOJ.

As I exclusively reported earlier today, Bongino took the day off from work to evaluate whether or not he wants to continue his position with the @FBI following the Sunday night release of a memo from the DOJ that claims no more information about Jeffrey Epstein will be released.

Source tells me it’s very likely that Bongino resigns from the FBI unless Pam Blondi is FIRED by President Trump or resigns from the DOJ.

In another fierce statement post on X Friday afternoon, Loomer again urged President Trump to get rid of AG Pam Bondi. She wrote:

Ultimately, President Trump makes his own choices. Nobody tells him what to do or what to say. He’s a stable genius with a massive record of success which is why he’s President of the United States, AGAIN.

That being said, as someone who works tirelessly in support of President Trump everyday, and as someone who is very plugged in with every faction of the MAGA base, I cannot sugar coat how much good will Pam Blondi has cost the Trump admin with the base this week. She is a massive liability to President Trump and his administration.

We are coming up on the 1 year anniversary this Sunday of the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, PA. Donald Trump has almost been killed multiple times on his path back to the White House. One of the main reasons we sent him back to WH was so that he could clean house at the DOJ and FBI and RESTORE TRANSPARENCY AND TRUST at these agencies so that the American people could have a renewed faith in our Justice system.

Since February, Blondi has underserved President Trump and @JDVance by creating carnival spectacles at the White House, spending more time on Fox News than doing her job as AG, and by eroding public trust on many issues of importance to the MAGA base.

Sadly, now the base’s patience is wearing thin. The base is demoralized thanks to Blondi. We love President Trump, but many people feel black pilled over Blondi’s lack of transparency and this is going to SUPPRESS GOP TURNOUT ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Even @dbongino is thinking about resigning from the FBI today as a result of Pam Blondi’s lack of transparency at the DOJ, and her poor handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files!

Some people who voted for Trump are now threatening to stay home in 2026 because of Blondi’s lack of transparency. We cannot afford to have Trump’s second term obstructed by a Democrat controlled House. We need accountability, and Blondi has failed to perform.

I want to see President Trump thrive. He will go down in history as THE BEST President ever, but Blondi is tarnishing his admin along the way with her unnecessary distractions.

President Trump should thank Blondi for her support and relieve her of her duties.
