From the New York Post: Anti-ICE gunman Joshua Jahn carefully plotted his assault on immigration officers before taking up a sniper position on a Dallas rooftop, and expressed a desire to instill “terror” in agents, new information released by the FBI reveals.

A handwritten note recovered by investigators said “Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, ‘is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?’”

Jahn, who opened fire at a van near the entrance of an ICE field office in Dallas Wednesday morning, had also conducted multiple searches of the “Charlie Kirk Shot Video” between Sept. 23 and 24, just before the shooting, FBI Director Kash Patel said in an X post Thursday.

Three illegal alien detainees were struck when Jahn opened fire on the ICE facility and an unmarked van.  One detainee was killed and two others were left in critical condition. Jahn then killed himself on the roof with his own gun.

Patel’s full announcement reads:

@FBIDallas and FBI HQ have been working 24/7 to seize devices, exploit data, and process writings obtained on location and in the subject’s person/residence/bedroom. This @FBI is committed to providing timely updates, as promised:

– The perp downloaded a document titled “Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management” containing a list of DHS facilities.
– He conducted multiple searches of ballistics and the “Charlie Kirk Shot Video” between 9/23-9/24.
-Between 8/19-8/24, he searched apps that tracked the presence of ICE agents.
– One of the handwritten notes recovered read, “Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, ‘is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?”
– Further accumulated evidence to this point indicates a high degree of pre-attack planning.

The FBI will provide further updates when able.
