BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel now allegedly threatening resignation

The fallout inside the Department of Justice is getting even more serious, as news is now surfacing that FBI Director Kash Patel is also threatening to resign unless Attorney General Pam Bondi is fired.

The news broke on Friday that Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is extremely upset at Bondi over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, and has not been seen at work since Wednesday.

Bongino is reportedly threatening to quit if Bondi remains in charge. Now, according to multiple reporters, Patel has allegedly indicated that if Bongino goes, he goes too.

White House correspondent Shelby Talcott of Semafor wrote, “Dan Bongino is considering leaving his post at the FBI amid the Epstein docs drama, two sources familiar with the situation confirm to me. Both are speculating he might not be back, though it seems like no formal decision has been made. He’s effectively “gone,” one person said. “Will come back if Bondi held accountable.””

“I’m also now told it’s unclear whether Kash would want to remain at his post should Bongino actually leave…I’m told both Kash and Bongino want Bondi out,” Talcott added.

Daily Wire reporter Mary Margaret Olohan wrote, “Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves. Also that there are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn’t released.”

Journalist Laura Loomer first reported on the explosive upheaval between the Justice Department and the FBI. Loomer continues to mockingly refer to Bondi as “Blondi.”

In a Friday evening update, Loomer wrote:

We might not have a Deputy FBI Director by Monday. We could possibly see a weekend resignation from the FBI by @FBIDDBongino Dan Bongino. Source tells me @FBIDirectorKash Kash Patel agrees with Bongino’s sentiment and also agrees that Blondi needs to be removed from her post as AG.

Now it’s up to President Trump to step in. The MAGA base would like to see Trump FIRE Blondi. She is a massive liability to this otherwise great administration.

Robby Starbuck wrote, “If it’s Dan or Pam, there’s absolutely no contest. You can’t replace Dan with someone better but you can absolutely replace Pam with someone better. Pam should resign or be fired this weekend. Her fumbling of the Epstein case is hurting the ENTIRE administration at this point.”

Meanwhile, the White House is trying to squash the rumors.

Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields released the following statement: “President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims. This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity. Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all.”
