From the New York Post: An ex-security staffer for President Joe Biden who posed for pics with former VP Kamala Harris in front of a presidential jet was arrested for a chilling murder in San Francisco.

Nation Wood, 25, was arrested Wednesday, just 24 hours after he allegedly shot and killed Samantha Emge, 22, a 2025 graduate of San Francisco State University, at a home in San Francisco’s Sunset District.

Wood identified himself as a part-time security staffer for Biden’s White House Secret Service team starting in November 2023 on his LinkedIn profile.

He worked at the White House through July 2025, finishing out his term under President Donald Trump, according to his LinkedIn page that lists him as an “independent pre-event site security advisor.”

On his LinkedIn page, Wood wrote that he worked as advance security, providing “external advisory site security assessments for events with VIP attendance.”

He had posted a photo on LinkedIn of himself standing with a group of people, including Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Imhoff, in front of the Air Force Two plane.

Wood has now been charged with involuntary manslaughter of his girlfriend, Samantha Emge at a home near 22nd & Rivera in San Francisco’s Sunset District.

In a press release, the San Francisco Police Department announced:

On March 24, 2026, at approximately 10:43 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a residence located on the 2200 block of 22nd Ave regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound and rendered aid. Paramedics arrived on scene to perform lifesaving measures and transport the victim to a local hospital for her life-threatening injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders and medical staff, the victim was declared deceased at the hospital.

The San Francisco Homicide Detail responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Through the course of the investigation, homicide investigators developed probable cause to arrest 25-year-old Nation Wood of San Francisco.

Wood was booked into San Francisco County Jail for involuntary Manslaughter (192(b) PC).
