BREAKING: Elon Musk’s X platform hit with major outage

1

Shortly after 10:00 a.m. EST Friday, Elon Musk’s X social media platform, previously known as Twitter, crashed in what was being reported as a major outage.  The outage lasted about one hour, and now appears to have been resolved.

This come after the Verizon cellphone provider went down in several major cities earlier this week.

According to DownDetector, a website that tracks apps and other websites when they are down, showed a large spike in users reporting issues with X Friday morning.

When attempting to access X, users were only seeing a blank, black page, or part of a page with no posts. Other users saw Cloudflare error messages. The outage appears to be global, as reports are coming in from people of many different countries.

The platform experienced a similar brief outage on Tuesday.

Many users are taking to Facebook to report that they are unable to access X.
