BREAKING: DHS Sec. Kristi Noem makes announcement on bodycams

3

Department of Homeland Secretary Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday that all federal immigration agents working in Minneapolis will now be wearing bodycams.

In a post on X Monday afternoon, Noem wrote, “I just spoke with @RealTomHoman @ICEDirector @CBPCommissioner. Effective immediately we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis.

“As funding is available, the body camera program will be expanded nationwide. We will rapidly acquire and deploy body cameras to DHS law enforcement across the country,” she continued.

“The most transparent administration in American history—thank you @POTUS Trump. Make America Safe Again 🇺🇸,” Noem added.

President Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that he is ok with Noem’s decision, and said it’s generally good for law enforcement, “because people can’t lie about what’s happening.”
