According to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna, at least five people have lost their lives in the Eaton Fire, which is one of the many wildfires burning in the Los Angeles area.
‘Apocalyptic’ is the word most commonly being used to describe the horror taking place in the city this week.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, who lives in a Los Angeles suburb near where the fires are occurring, announced in a social media post Wednesday evening:
“BREAKING: LA County Sheriff Robert Luna confirms five people have now been killed in the #EatonFire burning in Altadena. He says they are finding bodies as deputies go into burned areas and unfortunately, they expect the number to go up.”

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, a Democrat, has been blasted for running off to Ghana, Africa to attend a presidential inauguration, even as the city was burning. She has now returned.

Fueled by the high winds, more fires continue to pop up.

And evacuation orders have been expanded to cover new areas:
