BREAKING: Congress committee releases records provided by the Epstein estate, White House denies drawing is by Trump

From the Washington Examiner: The House Oversight Committee received a slew of documents from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, including the 2003 “Birthday Book” that included a sexually suggestive note purported to be from President Donald Trump.

The committee received the first set of documents on Monday in response to Chairman James Comer’s (R-KY) subpoena from Aug. 25. The so-called birthday book was compiled by Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell for his 50th birthday.

The documents also included the last will and testament of Epstein, bank account information, the 2007 nonprosecution agreement between the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida and Epstein, and entries from Epstein’s address and contact books from Jan. 1, 1990, through Aug. 10, 2019.

Democrats on the Oversight Committee blasted out one image to the public, before Comer could release the entire collection, and implied they finally had the goods on President Trump.

The image is a drawing of a woman’s body, with a crude, suggestive, type-written message, along with what is alleged to be Trump’s signature below the waist.

“HERE IT IS: We got Trump’s birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein that the President said doesn’t exist. Trump talks about a “wonderful secret” the two of them shared. What is he hiding? Release the files!” the Oversight Democrats wrote, sharing the image.

Democrats immediately pounced on the image with a scathing rebuke against President Trump.

Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.) wrote, “No surprise the note *does* exist. More proof this White House cover-up is to protect Trump, the powerful, and the wealthy.”

Squad member Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) raged, “For years, Epstein’s victims have been ignored & invalidated. What they went through was horrifying. This disgusting birthday note—which Trump said didn’t exist—is more proof of the institutional coverup meant to protect the powerful.Release the files. Hold a hearing with survivors. Accountability NOW.”

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Tex.) wrote, “Trump swore up & down he never signed Epstein’s “birthday book.” Called it fake. Even sued the WSJ for reporting it. Now the evidence tells a different story. And if he went this far to cover up a doodle and a “secret” message, what else is he hiding? It’s time to release the full, unredacted Epstein files. The survivors deserve justice, and the American people deserve the truth.”

“We got the Epstein note Trump says doesn’t exist. Time to end this White House cover-up,” declared Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.).

Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) wrote, “This is disturbing, disgusting, and extremely troubling. Trump didn’t just leave a salacious note in Epstein’s Birthday Book – he added a lewd drawing, then lied about it for years. If he lied about this, what else is he hiding? The full Epstein files must be released now.”

Progressive Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX) claimed, “Trump lied about this card, AND we know he’s lying about much more.End the Trump Epstein coverup. Release the files.”

However, the White House insisted the drawing and the signature are NOT by President Trump.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to a Wall Street Journal report on the drawing, and released the following statement:

The latest piece published by the Wall Street Journal PROVES this entire “Birthday Card” story is false. As I have said all along, it’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.

President Trump’s legal team will continue to aggressively pursue litigation.

Furthermore, the “reporter” @joe_palazzolo who wrote this hatchet job reached out for comment at the EXACT same minute he published his story giving us no time to respond.

This is FAKE NEWS to perpetuate the Democrat Epstein Hoax!

Comparisons are being posted on social media, as some note the signature on the drawing does not look like Trump’s current signature, or his signature from years ago.

Others are posting letters from Trump dated years ago, and claiming the signature looks very much like the signature on the scandalous drawing.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer released the following statement: “It’s appalling Democrats on the Oversight Committee are cherry-picking documents and politicizing information received from the Epstein Estate today. Oversight Committee Republicans are focused on running a thorough investigation to bring transparency and accountability for survivors of Epstein’s heinous crimes and the American people. President Trump is not accused of any wrongdoing and Democrats are ignoring the new information the Committee received today. The Committee will pursue additional Epstein bank records based on this new information. Democrats must decide if their priority is justice for the survivors or politics.”

Comer also provided a link to all the documents they just received: The documents can be found here.

Vice President JD Vance weighed in, writing, “The Democrats don’t care about Epstein. They don’t even care about his victims. That’s why they were silent about it for years. The only thing they care about is concocting another fake scandal like Russiagate to smear President Trump with lies. No one is falling for this BS.”

Monday evening, Oversight Democrats released another page from Epstein’s birthday book, and wrote, “NEW PAGE FROM EPSTEIN’S BIRTHDAY BOOK: Epstein and a longtime Mar-a-Lago member joking about selling a “fully depreciated” woman to Donald Trump for $22,500.”

Republicans fired back, writing, “According to WSJ, “a lawyer for the woman said she has no knowledge of the letter naming her, which the lawyer called a ‘disgusting and deeply disturbing hoax.’”

“It’s sick that Democrats are cherry-picking docs instead of following facts to get justice for survivors.”

Sure enough, the Wall Street Journal has written that the woman denounced the claims. The WSJ wrote:

The Epstein estate also turned over another letter from the book that references Trump. It came from businessman and longtime Mar-a-Lago member Joel Pashcow, who made a crude joke about a woman whom Epstein and Trump each courted in the 1990s, according to court testimony and people familiar with the matter.

The Pashcow letter included a photo of a posterboard-sized check for $22,500, which had been mocked up to appear that it was sent from Trump to Epstein. Beneath it, a caption said: “Jeffrey showing early talents with money + women sells ‘fully depreciated’ [woman’s name] to Donald Trump for $22,500.” The woman’s name is redacted in the image.

The woman, a wealthy European then in her 20s, severed all ties with Epstein around 1997 and had no romantic relationship with either Epstein or Trump, her lawyer said. The lawyer added that she doesn’t know Pashcow and has no knowledge of the letter naming her, which he called a “disgusting and deeply disturbing hoax.” Pashcow and his attorney didn’t respond to requests for comment.
