U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts is pushing back against calls to impeach Obama-appointed Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg of the D.C. Circuit.
Outrage has erupted against Boasberg after he demanded that the Trump administration stop deportation flights headed toward Venezuela Saturday night, and order the planes to be turned around and brought back to the U.S. The judge is now fuming that his orders were not followed.
The planes were transferring 261 illegal alien criminals and gang members to El Salvador, where they are now incarcerated in the new ‘mega prison’ there.
President Donald Trump released a statement Tuesday morning blasting Boasberg and calling for him to be impeached.
Also on Tuesday, a Republican congressman formally filed articles of impeachment against the judge.
Now Supreme Court Justice John Roberts has condemned the effort, declaring impeachment isn’t the right process.
“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts said in the statement, according to Fox News.
Justice Roberts is now getting lambasted on social media.
Sean Davis of The Federalist dropped a bombshell, revealing there is a REASON why Roberts is defending Boasberg. He wrote:

Free speech activist Philip Anderson wrote, “Chief Justice Roberts is a traitor and coward. He knows damn well that these judges are wrongfully abusing their power to control the Presidency. Americans voted for Donald Trump, not unelected power hungry far left judges.”

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich wrote: “If Chief Justice Roberts wants to minimize attacks on out of control appointed leftwing district court judges abusing their role and claiming to be able to overrule the elected President of the United States on management details that are clearly within his role as defined by the Constitution and the Federalist Papers then he should intervene and overrule these absurd power grabs. The Chief Justice can defend the Court by overruling bad judges before the Executive and Legislative Branches start acting against them. The burden is on the Chief Justice not the President.”
