From the New York Times: Some major Democratic donors have told the largest pro-Biden super PAC, Future Forward, that pledges worth roughly $90 million are now on hold if President Biden remains atop the ticket, according to two people who have been briefed on the conversations.
The frozen contributions include multiple eight-figure commitments, according to the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the situation. The decision to withhold such enormous sums of money is one of the most concrete examples of the fallout from Mr. Biden’s poor debate performance at the end of June.
Since Biden’s disastrous press conference Thursday evening, at least five more House Democrats have called for Biden to step aside, bringing the current total to 19.
Below is a running list of House Democrats who have officially called for Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race:
- Lloyd Doggett – Texas
- Raul Grijalva – Arizona
- Seth Moulton – Massachusetts
- Mike Quigley – Illinois
- Angie Craig – Minnesota
- Adam Smith – Washington
- Mikie Sherrill – New Jersey
- Pat Ryan – New York
- Earl Blumenauer – Oregon
- Hillary Scholten – Michigan
- Brad Schneider – Illinois
- Ed Case – Hawaii
- Greg Stanton – Arizona
- Marie Gluesenkamp Perez – Washington
- Jim Himes – Connecticut
- Eric Sorensen – Illinois
- Scott Peters – California
- Brittany Petterson – Colorado
- Mike Levin – California

Joe Biden’s record of public service is unrivaled. His accomplishments are immense. His legacy as a great president is secure.
He must not risk that legacy, those accomplishments and American democracy to soldier on in the face of the horrors promised by Donald Trump. pic.twitter.com/FMMrTK8pb8
