Former President Donald Trump was quickly escorted off the stage just minutes into his rally in Butler, Pa., on Saturday, after loud popping sounds were heard. Trump appeared to have blood on the side of his head and ear.
While speaking, Trump suddenly reached for the side of his face as the popping sounds echoed through the rally. He then crouched down as Secret Service agents rushed to the stage and surrounded him.
The scene caused panic among the audience, with screams ringing out as the situation unfolded.
President Joe Biden informed reporters that he has not yet been briefed on the situation. Meanwhile, politicians took to social media, expressing their prayers and well-wishes for Trump in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
