From the New York PostA supervisor for “American idol” and her husband were gunned down in a likely double homicide inside their $4.5 million Los Angeles home, cops said.

Robin Kaye, an award-winning music supervisor for the hit competition show, was found slaughtered along with her husband after an apparent break-in at their house in the upscale Encino neighborhood, a Los Angeles Police Department source told TMZ.

LAPD officers found couple’s bodies during a welfare check after they had not been heard from in four days, the outlet said.

Officers found blood in the entryway and a smashed window, which the killer possibly used to get inside.

TMZ reported that last Thursday, neighbors saw a suspicious person climbing over the fence at the home, and called police.  When police arrived, they searched the property, but found no signs of forced entry. TMZ does not say whether the cops went inside the home or spoke to the the homeowners.

Then, on Monday, after the family called to say they hadn’t heard from the couple in four days, police went to do a welfare check and discovered the bodies of both Kaye and her husband, who were both reportedly shot in the head and found in different rooms of the house.

Robin Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca were both 70 years old. According to property records, the couple purchased the home on White Oak in 2023 for $4.5 million. Deluca was a musician and a songwriter.
