The Department of War announced in a social media post Thursday night that another boat loaded with drugs while heading toward the United States has taken a little detour, going downward into the ocean.
War Secretary Pete Hegseth has vowed the United States military will not slow down in its effort to stop deadly drugs coming into the United States, despite all the outrage and attacks from Democrats.
President Donald Trump said during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, “I want those boats taken out. And if we have to, we’ll attack on land also, just as we have by sea.”
Thursday night, the U.S. Southern Command announced:
On Dec. 4, at the direction of @SecWar Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel in international waters operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization.
Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was carrying illicit narcotics and transiting along a known narco-trafficking route in the Eastern Pacific. Four male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed.
In the video posted on X, the drug boat is seen zipping along across the water, until it is suddenly blasted with a massive explosion. What’s left of the boat is seen going up in flames as the video ends.

Democrats have raged against Hegseth over the boat strikes, and accused him of war crimes over one incident where a boat was hit with a second strike, which killed two drug traffickers who had survived the first strike.
A report by ABC News has calmed those allegations, as ABC revealed that the traffickers had climbed back into the boat and were potentially communicating with others in an effort to save the drugs.
