President Donald Trump declared in a Truth Social post Tuesday morning that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food stamp benefits will remain frozen until Democrats vote to open up the government.
On Friday of last week, two separate federal judges had ordered the Trump administration to continue funding the program, despite the shutdown.
Trump had first responded by saying he has been warned that the administration doesn’t really have the legal authority to resume the SNAP payments, without action by Congress. And Congress has not voted to open the government.
But on Tuesday, Trump released the following fiery statement:
SNAP BENEFITS, which increased by Billions and Billions of Dollars (MANY FOLD!) during Crooked Joe Biden’s disastrous term in office (Due to the fact that they were haphazardly “handed” to anyone for the asking, as opposed to just those in need, which is the purpose of SNAP!), will be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up government, which they can easily do, and not before! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT

Fox News shared a series of video clips on the Will Cain Show, of multiple Black men who are speaking out, saying the SNAP program is actually HURTING Americans.
The men in the video are saying:
“This program is keeping a lot of people unmarried, uneducated, don’t wanna do anything that cause them to lose their benefits.”
“Only in America do we have people with $1,200 iPhones checking to see if their SNAP benefits hit.”
“Anyone who’s on welfare, not for a disability…should NOT have the ability to vote in our society.”
“I don’t have kids, but There is no way that I have kids, and wait on somebody else to feed them.” 💯

According to a recent report, about 41.7 million Americans, or one in eight households, relied on SNAP benefits each month in 2024.
The federal government shelled out a jaw-dropping $99.8 BILLION in SNAP benefits in 2024, with participants receiving an average of $187 per month.
Even more disturbing, the majority of SNAP recipients (42%) were adults between the ages of 18 to 59, which would be considered those most likely to be able to have a job.

Another recent report revealed that illegal aliens in the United States are soaking up a good share of the SNAP benefits.
An analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies shared with Secrets Monday found that 47% of noncitizen households with children under 6 use the programs. For comparison, 31% of American citizen households use SNAP and WIC.
