President Donald Trump fired off an order on Truth Social Thursday morning, demanding that a Republican “gold star” mother and former clerk of Mesa County, Colorado, be released from prison, or he will take action!
Tina Peters, 69, considered a whistleblower by conservatives, was sentenced to 9 years in prison in October 2024 by a Democrat-appointed judge for her well-intentioned efforts to preserve records on Dominion voting machines after the 2020 election.
Peters was indicted in March 2022 after prosecutors accused her of improperly permitting someone to copy access passwords and other files from a voting system.
Trump blasted out the following statement Thursday morning:
FREE TINA PETERS, a brave and innocent Patriot who has been tortured by Crooked Colorado politicians, including the big Mail-In Ballot supporting the governor of the State. Let Tina Peters out of jail, RIGHT NOW. She did nothing wrong, except catching the Democrats cheat in the Election. She is an old woman, and very sick. If she is not released, I am going to take harsh measures!!!
