From Breitbart: The U.S. State Department announced it would rescind the visa of Colombian President Gustavo Petro after he urged American soldiers to defy orders from President Donald Trump and compared Israel’s military actions in Gaza to the Holocaust during a pro-Palestinian demonstration in New York City.
Petro, in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, participated in a pro-Palestinian demonstration earlier in the day. Addressing the crowd in Spanish, Petro declared, “We must set up an army more powerful than that of the United States and Israel,” and stated he would introduce a U.N. resolution calling for such a force to establish a Palestinian state.
Petro compared what he characterized as Israel’s genocide in Gaza to the Holocaust. In the same speech, he told American soldiers, “I ask all the soldiers of the United States Army not to point their guns at humanity. Disobey the orders of Trump. Obey the orders of humanity.”
Investigative analyst Stu Smith posted a video of Petro’s brazen stunt, as he joined a group of Palestinian flag-waving protesters with The People’s Forum and the Palestinian Youth Movement, alongside Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters.

Doubling down, Petro, a former Marxist guerrilla, posted a video of himself and Waters standing together, holding a large Palestinian flag, and wrote, “With Roger Waters. Free Palestine. If Gaza falls, humanity dies.”

Late Friday night, the U.S. State Department announced on X, “Earlier today, Colombian president @petrogustavo stood on a NYC street and urged U.S. soldiers to disobey orders and incite violence. We will revoke Petro’s visa due to his reckless and incendiary actions.”

While a guest in New York City, Petro also raged against President Donald Trump in his speech to the UN General Assembly, and called for “criminal proceedings” against him.
In his UN speech, Petro condemned the U.S. for their strikes against the boats in the Caribbean which were reportedly carrying drugs. He called the strikes an “act of tyranny” and claimed that even if the boats were carrying drugs, their passengers “were not drug traffickers; they were simply poor young people from Latin America who had no other option.”
He doesnt get to dictate what migrants are allowed in North America or not. That is decided by the American people. https://t.co/VixBeXUT2D

U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz wrote, “Petro started the day with a crazed rant insulting America during his UN general assembly speech. We walked out and now @SecRubio will kick him out.”

After his visa was revoked, Petro announced Saturday morning, “I arrived in Bogotá. I no longer have a visa to travel to the USA. I don’t care. I don’t need a Visa but an ESTA, because I’m not only a Colombian citizen but also a European citizen, and in reality, I consider myself a free person in the world. Humanity must be free all over the world. We have the human right to live on the planet. I am free and every human being must be free on earth.”

On Saturday, Petro defiantly called for the United Nations headquarters to be moved out of the United States. Blasting President Donald Trump, he wrote on X, “As President of Colombia, in the general assembly of the nations that we founded in the UN, I express my opinions freely. International law is the wisdom of humanity and it protects me. Genocide is a crime against humanity and humanity must respond, judge, and punish. Mr. Trump has violated the founding principles of the UN. Time to go to a more democratic place. I propose Doha as the headquarters of the United Nations.”
Cómo presidente de Colombia, en la asamblea general de las naciones que fundamos en la ONU, expreso mis opiniones libremente.

Petro released a longer statement, as he ranted and raged after having his U.S. visa revoked. He wrote:
Humanity stands against genocide, and in Colombia, there was a genocide against the people when fascist conservatives ordered that liberals be defeated with blood and fire, and the genocide continued later, allied with drug trafficking.
Never in any country in the world has there been such extensive mafia control over the state as in Colombia; never in any country in the world has the mafia been able to enact so many laws and kill hundreds of thousands of peasants and young people from the very power of the State.
Never in any place in the world has the mafia managed to displace millions of peasants from their lands. The narco-trafficking governance built in Colombia was genocidal.
Luis Carlos Galán denounced it and was assassinated for it. That Galán, whom I personally knew as a young fighter of the M19, to whom I said we were brothers, must be revived in the voice of his ancestor, the communard José Antonio Galán, quartered by the Spaniards for being a rebel.
Those responsible for that genocide try to shield themselves under you, Trump, because they believe you protect genocidaires. Do not surround yourself with genocidaires.
Humanity demands that the crime against humanity in Gaza cease. The Israelis have experienced a terrorist act against their youth at a concert, and there were deaths that should not have happened. But the response must not be a crime against humanity. We cannot allow babies to be killed in Gaza.
Your wife, Mr. Trump, or your daughters, should tell you that it is not right to kill babies. My daughters tell me so.
I respect your family and I told you that I would have a whisky, despite my gastritis, at your house or mine, or wherever, but speaking face-to-face, as equals, like men, and without lies. You did not respond.
Shake off the cobwebs of your advisors, see humanity clearly and what is happening. A Great United States is not built by killing defenseless babies.
Now they will try to turn my free and human opinion into a crime. You know that international laws grant me immunity to go to the UN and that there should be no reprisals for my free opinion, because I am a free being.
Missiles must not fall on the civilian population of Gaza. Missiles must not fall on poor young people in the service of drug lords or on peasants trying to survive. Missiles must not fall on migrants who leave because they cannot endure poverty. Migrants are not criminals and do not deserve the death penalty; doing so is a crime against humanity.
Distance yourself, Trump, from Hitler; there is still time. I prayed for the U.S. soldiers who, on the front lines of the Gothic Line battle, near Florence, the city of the Renaissance, in Italy, died for freedom. I prayed at their cemetery.
Do not kill freedom. My ancestors lived 30,000 years ago in America and built languages, art, and civilization. Your ancestors arrived just a century ago, but that does not matter; you are welcome in America, the land of freedom, and in the country of Bolívar: Gran Colombia. No U.S. citizen will be prohibited from entering because we are free. But no war criminal, much less a criminal against humanity, will enter.
No more Auschwitz for oil; in the midst of business, there is time for love and for humanity, says the Bible.
Free yourself, Trump, from that slavery that will last for generations.
I said, and it is not a crime, that the voices ordering your armies to fire on humanity should not be obeyed.
I am, in addition to a Colombian who is proud of his country, who loves its immense tropical beauty, its sea, its mountains, and all its cultures, as beautiful as nature itself, a European citizen. I do not need your visa, but I will only go when invited by your people.
I don’t even need to travel; Colombia is the heart of the world, and in its lands, there are human beings who carry in their veins all the peoples of the world, and I can distinguish their ancestors. I can know the world by traveling through my country.
Before leaving New York, I entered a shopping mall, and the Black and white women of the United States would put their hand on their heart when they saw me and recognized me, a beautiful free people, do not frighten them with rifles Mr. Trump, Bolívar said: cursed be the soldier who raises the weapon against his people, I say to you I did not order to raise the weapons of your army against humanity, because humanity will respond
If there is a crime against humanity, humanity must respond and Colombia with Bolívar, responds.
Not one step back.

Many conservative Americans are reacting in outrage, and calling for the U.S. to also stop sending funding to Columbia.
One X user shared details on funding sent to the country just over the last three years:

His words had the effect of advocating for a military coup against a duly elected President. Revoking his visa is not enough.
