BOOM! Radical Judge hit with impeachment resolution over role in Trump probe

From Fox News: Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, is formally introducing impeachment articles against U.S. District Judge James Boasberg on Tuesday for his role in the “Arctic Frost” probe.

Republican allies of President Donald Trump have been criticizing Boasberg after news broke that he was the judge who signed off on subpoenas and other measures in former special counsel Jack Smith’s probe.

“Chief Judge Boasberg has compromised the impartiality of the judiciary and created a constitutional crisis. He is shamelessly weaponizing his power against his political opponents, including Republican members of Congress who are faithfully serving the American people within their jurisdiction,” Gill told Fox News Digital.

“Judge Boasberg was an accomplice in the egregious Arctic Frost scandal where he equipped the Biden DOJ to spy on Republican senators. His lack of integrity makes him clearly unfit for the gavel. I am proud to once again introduce articles of impeachment against Judge Boasberg to hold him accountable for his high crimes and misdemeanors.”

The report explains that Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) exposed the Biden-era “Arctic Frost” operation last month. The documents released by Grassley included subpoenas of phone records for 10 senators and one House lawmaker, along with gag orders sent to Verizon and AT&T instructing them not to notify lawmakers of the subpoena. Verizon complied, but AT&T did not.

Boasberg had signed off on both the subpoenas and the gag orders, which has infuriated Republicans.

Gill announced on X Tuesday afternoon:

“I just filed Articles of Impeachment against radical activist Judge James Boasberg.

“Judge Boasberg abused his power by weaponizing the judiciary against critics of the Biden Administration. As part of the Arctic Frost Investigation, Judge Boasberg signed off on frivolous nondisclosure orders to conceal the fact that sitting US Senators were being surveilled. Not only was this action egregiously improper; it was a gross violation of the separation of powers.

“Judge Boasberg is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, is unfit for office, and should be impeached.

“This appears to be the tip of the iceberg. More information is coming out daily about the extent of Judge Boasberg’s involvement in Arctic Frost.”

Multiple other Republicans noted they had signed on as co-sponsors to the impeachment resolution.

Rep. Chip Roy added, “As I said last week as soon as this broke – proud to be an original co-sponsor. We must impeach Boasberg for his clear abuse of power.”

Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) wrote, “Proud to join @RepBrandonGill in bringing articles of impeachment against Judge James Boasberg. The reign of terror from rogue activist judges must end.”

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) wrote, “I’m a cosponsor. Boasberg must be brought to account for his actions.”

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ): “I’m on board. These radical judges will never stop unless Congress does its job.”

From Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.): “I proudly stand with @RepBrandonGill in impeaching radical activist Judge James Boasberg. He abused his power by weaponizing the judiciary, he has committed high crimes and misdemeanors, he is unfit for office, and he should be impeached.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) wrote, “Thank you to @RepBrandonGill for filing Articles of Impeachment against Judge Boasberg. Boasberg signed off on secret subpoenas for cell phone records of at least 9 Senate Republicans, including me. IMPEACH JUDGE BOASBERG.”
