After former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, announced that he had chosen Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate, the Democrats immediately attacked.
Vance, 39, is a U.S. Marine veteran and has served in the U.S. Senate since January 2023.
In a July 16, Kamala Harris posted a video claiming that Vance is just “rubber stamp” for Trump’s “extreme agenda, and declared, “He will be loyal only to Trump, not to our country.”
“If elected, he will help implement the extreme Project 2025 plan for a second Trump term. We’re not going to let that happen,” she claimed.

Vance is firing back. While speaking at a rally in Minnesota over the weekend, Vance tore into Harris.
“I saw the other day Kamala Harris questioned my loyalty to this country. That’s the word she used; loyalty. And it’s an interesting word. Semper Fi: loyalty, because there is no greater sign of disloyalty to this country than what Kamala Harris has done at our southern border,” he began.
“And I’d like to ask the vice president, what has SHE done to question my loyalty to this country? I served in the United States Marine Corps! I went to Iraq for this country! I built a business for this country! And my running mate took a bullet for this country! So my question to Kamala Harris is, what the hell have YOU done to question our loyalty to the United States of America?”
The crowd ROARED.
“And the answer, my friends, is nothing!” he continued, blasting Harris.

Others also blasted Harris for her brazen claim about Vance’s loyalty to the country soon after she posted the video.
Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard declared, “Kamala Harris claims “JD Vance will be loyal only to Trump, not to our country. @JDVance1 enlisted in the Marine Corps after 9/11 and deployed to Iraq in 2005, the same year I was there during the height of the war. He put his life on the line in service to our country. Was Kamala Harris ready to sacrifice her life for our country? Of course not. Once again, Kamala exposes her hypocrisy.”

Fox News contributor Rob Smith, also a military veteran, said, “@JDVance1 enlisted in the Marines after 9/11. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 – the same era I served in Iraq with the 4th Infantry Division. JD and Kamala are NOT the same.”
