Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett appeared on The Breakfast Club Friday. She took the opportunity to rant about Republicans “presuming” that Charlie Kirk was killed by “somebody that came from our side of the aisle.”
“I hate that some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle immediately came out and they were like, ‘Oh, you know, this is on the Democrats.’ Like, we don’t even know who did what,” Crockett said. “It’s wild” that Republicans “are presuming that this is somebody that came from our side of the aisle.”
“Obviously, the first thing that anybody would say—and you didn’t have any Democrat that went out there and said otherwise—is, ‘We’re denouncing political violence,’” she claimed.
She said she was justified in giving known facts about Republicans because they are just “true.”
“I literally have never said anything to invoke violence,” she said, “and I challenge somebody to go and find a clip of a Democrat invoking violence.”
Social media users responded, posting several examples.
