From the Daily Mail: The United States Justice Department sued New York, its governor Kathy Hochul and other state leaders on Wednesday as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
Newly sworn-in Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the lawsuit at her first press conference at the Justice Department.
Bondi said they were also suing New York Attorney General Letitia James and Mark Schroeder, the current commissioner for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
The lawsuit is a warning to all sanctuary states and cities, and was filed against New York and top officials for failing to comply with federal immigration laws and shielding illegal aliens.
Bondi also cited New York’s Green Light law, which allows illegal aliens to obtain a driver’s license.
“This is a new DOJ and we are taking steps to protect Americans,” Bondi announced.
Standing beside Bondi during the press conference was ‘Angel Mom’ Tammy Nobels, whose daughter was killed by an illegal alien gang member.

“If you don’t comply with federal law we will hold you accountable. We did it to Illinois. Strike One. Strike Two is New York. If you are a state not complying with federal law, you’re next, get ready.”
