Liberals never give up on their “climate change” talking points.
During a hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee Wednesday morning, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, FBI Director Kash Patel and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, along with National Security Agency chief Lt. Gen. William Hartman and Defense Intelligence Agency Director Lt. Gen. James Adams, all testified about national security threats facing the United States.
The hearing came one day after the 2026 Annual Threat Assessment was released by Gabbard’s office, which warned of the risk for more “lone-wolf” attacks in the U.S. by ISIS-inspired terrorists. The report also warned of the spread of Islamist ideology, the Muslim Brotherhood, and those who support Sharia law.
But Sen. Angus King of Maine, a liberal Independent who caucuses with Democrats, was worried about one thing: climate change. He complained to Gabbard that the previous administration always acknowledged the dangers of climate change, and demanded to know why she had omitted that from her report.
“There was very little, if anything, in the report, in the assessment, about climate change, and that’s been in past reports. There is lot discussion about migration,” Angus began. He then rambled on about “climate migrants”, claiming that climate change is the cause of mass migration to the United States, and asked Gabbard if she believes this is a national security threat?

King pulled the exact same stunt at the annual national security hearing LAST YEAR, asking Gabbard the same question.
“I’ve been on this committee now, this is my 13th year, every single one of these reports that we have had has mentioned global climate change as significant national security threat…except this one. Has something happened? Has global climate change been solved?” he demanded.
Gabbard replied, “I can’t speak to the decisions made previously, but this annual threat assessment has been focused very directly on the threats that we deem most critical to the United States and our national security.”
