Bevelyn Williams has been ordered to turn herself in on Thursday to begin a 3-year, 5-month prison sentence for protesting outside an abortion clinic in Manhattan, New York back in June 2020.

Williams, 33, a pro-life activist, is married and has a 2-year-old daughter, Eleanor.

In a press release on July 24, 2024, the Justice Department announced that Williams had been sentenced to 41 months in prison for “violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (the “FACE Act”) in June 2020 in connection with her interference, including by threats and force, with individuals seeking to obtain and provide lawful reproductive health services at a reproductive health center in Manhattan.”

The Justice Department accused Williams of violently preventing people from entering the abortion clinic:

On June 19, 2020, and June 20, 2020, WILLIAMS threatened and used force against patients and staff members at a reproductive health center located in lower Manhattan (the “Health Center”) and blocked patients and staff members from accessing the Health Center. In one instance, and as captured on video, WILLIAMS pressed her body against the door of the Health Center’s patient entrance and refused to move, preventing a Health Center volunteer from entering the Health Center. As a Health Center staff member (“Victim-1”) attempted to open the door for the volunteer, WILLIAMS purposefully leaned against the door, crushing Victim-1’s hand. Victim-1 yelled, “She’s crushing my hand,” but WILLIAMS remained against the door, trapping Victim-1’s hand and injuring it.

The DOJ further wrote:

In addition to WILLIAMS’s conduct in Manhattan, on multiple other occasions from at least 2019 to 2022, WILLIAMS and others intimidated and interfered with individuals seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health services at other health clinics across the country, including in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and Brooklyn, New York.

Describing one protest at an abortion clinic in Atlanta in July 2022, the DOJ said Williams shouted that she’d go to jail before letting patients enter the facility for an abortion and that she was “not afraid to get arrested.”  So they are throwing her in jail – for nearly 3 and a half years.

However, Williams denies the allegations that she was “violent.”  Wednesday morning, she announced, “This is my surrender paperwork! I just want you guys to know what the media said about me being violent is a lie! My category of offense is unlawful assembly! Please share this people need to know the truth 41 months, 3 1/2 years for unlawful assembly under the Biden Harris administration!!”

Williams had filed a stay of appeal, hoping she would be allowed to stay home on bail with her husband and child while she appeals the case.  The judge has denied her request, and ordered Williams to turn herself in on Thursday.

She is traveling to Alabama on Wednesday, and posted a video of her husband as he shared a message about his feelings on the matter.

Williams wrote: “Biden/Harris administration has made my husband a single father today. I am on my way to turn myself into federal prison where I am scheduled to serve three years in federal prison for unlawful assembly. Share this and make mothers and fathers of this nation aware of what’s going on! Reach my husband here: @MrRickeyVictory.”

In the video, Rickey slams the Biden-Harris administration for prosecuting his wife, and then rips into Barack Obama for telling Black men to vote for Harris.

Rickey emphasizes that Americans must get out and vote – for Donald Trump.

But before surrendering to prison, Williams went to VOTE… for Trump.

“Early voting started today before my surrender did I vote? hell yeah I did.. #Trump2024,” she wrote.

“I’m a felon, and I voted for a felon! What’s up??????” she mocked.

Williams’ husband, Rickey, posted a photo of his wife waiting in line and wrote, “Waiting in line to vote with my wife @MrsBevelynW and daughter. #TRUMP2024.”

In a Facebook post Wednesday morning, Williams wrote, “Kamala Harris’ s ploy to win this case is using women. Please utilize my story to make mothers angry! If she loses the mothers through what their administration is doing to me, she will lose this election! Please share my story and let the mother know what’s going on so that her support over women will diminish tremendously!”

The National Catholic Register shared the following “backstory” on Williams in a report in July, after her sentencing:

Williams, born in Staten Island, New York, had her first abortion at the age of 15 after she dropped out of high school, according to her ministry website At Well Ministries. She later went on to have two more abortions and went down a “self-destructive” path of drugs and drinking.

After she was arrested for money laundering, she had a conversion experience and “upon her release moved forward with the determination to choose a new path.” She co-founded At Well Ministries, which specializes in street ministry and ministry to the homeless, and she later made a shift toward pro-life activism.

Williams is one of many pro-life activists who have been sentenced under the FACE Act in recent years, including several elderly people and a Catholic priest.

Williams posted the following video on social media on Tuesday.

A GiveSendGo account set up to help Williams has raised over $256,000 as of this report.

Williams’ husband announced  in a Facebook post on Tuesday:

Tomorrow I will drive my wife to a federal prison in Alabama as her offense is “unlawful assembly” 3 1/2 years in federal prison. It’s called political/christian persecution! Does life change a bit? Absolutely! Have I had dark nights, absolutely! So many emotions! But God is good!

Nonetheless… I Love you forever my love! We gonna ride this out and I don’t care what a media, judge, government or jury has to say! Nothing can stop what God has put together and the love we have is stronger than death! God will vindicate this family and our children and their generation will know will look at see what GOD has done!

One person commented, “I’m pro choice. I don’t agree with what she did, but rapists in California don’t get that much time.”
