Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), 83, a socialist who supports far-left progressive policies, including the ‘Green New Deal,’ appeared to try to blame the California wildfires on President-elect Donald Trump in a social media post on Wednesday.

Sharing an aerial photo of the fire, Sanders wrote:

80,000 people told to evacuate.
Blazes 0% contained.
Eight months since the area has seen rain.
The scale of damage and loss is unimaginable.
Climate change is real, not “a hoax.”
Donald Trump must treat this like the existential crisis it is.

Sanders is getting pounded, and many are reminding him that Joe Biden is still president – not Trump.

Filmmaker Robby Starbuck fired back:

Donald Trump isn’t President yet. Joe Biden’s Democrat handlers are.
Donald Trump isn’t Governor of California. Democrat Gavin Newsom is.
Donald Trump isn’t mayor of Los Angeles. Democrat Karen Bass is.
Donald Trump isn’t LA’s Fire Chief. Democrat DEI hire Kristin Crowley is.

This is a Democrat run disaster made worse by Democrat policies that led to water shortages, brush/dry forest not being cleared and regulations that hamstring certain preventive efforts. Take accountability Bernie.

Riley Gaines mocked, “I know you’re old, but Donald Trump isn’t president yet. No calls to action for Biden because everyone already knows he won’t do anything. Sad excuse for a president.”

Conservative podcaster Tomi Lahren wrote, “Donald Trump isn’t the president. Also, LA mayor Karen Bass is on a joy trip to Africa…”

“Maybe you should call Gavin Newsom and Joe Biden, they are the ones in charge,” suggested David Freeman.

“Donald Trump isn’t the President… Joe Biden is. Why don’t you blame him?” asked comedian Tim Young.

“Then why is the LA County Fire Department donating their supplies to Ukraine?” demanded journalist Collin Rugg.
