Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris is proving costly.

Since publicly supporting Harris during the September 10 presidential debate, Swift has lost over 2 million Spotify listeners, according to data from Chartmetric shared with The Wrap.

According to a new Breitbart report, following Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris, her YouTube views in the U.S. dropped by nearly 10%.

Before the endorsement, Swift had 94 million monthly unique listeners on Spotify, but by September 27, that number had fallen to 91.9 million. This decline could impact her income, as Spotify compensates artists based on their streaming numbers.

The 2 million drop in Taylor Swift’s Spotify listeners coincides with a broader decline in her popularity among voters. An NBC News poll showed her favorability among registered voters fell from 40% in 2023 to 33% this year. Negative opinions of her also increased, rising from 16% to 27%. Among independents, her favorability dropped from 34% in 2023 to 26% in 2024.
