From Breitbart: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) has hit reverse on his sneering comment about Tesla stock dropping, saying he was “being a smart-ass” when he said he was reveling in watching it head south. He hastened to add anyone who took offense at his caustic quip lacked a sense of humor to match his own.
“I have to be careful about being a smart-ass, I was making a joke,” Mediaite reports Walz said.
He then referenced those who took offense, saying “These people have no sense of humor. They are the most literal people.”
“My point was they’re all mad and I said something I … probably shouldn’t have about a company,” he continued with his admission to the audience at an event in New York.
But Walz not only made the insane comments about hoping Tesla stock would fall… he also bragged about it by posting a video on X, and writing, “If you need a little boost during the day, check out Tesla stock 📉.”

Now Walz is trying to walk it back. Sort of. Below are his comments from Saturday night, when he claimed he was just being a “smart-ass” about the Tesla stock, and tried to point blame on conservatives for being ‘butt-hurt’ and mad about it.
