ANOTHER ONE: Illegal alien truck driver accused of killing Indiana man after running red light

Here we go again… yet ANOTHER illegal alien truck driver from India has just been charged in a deadly crash that killed an innocent American.

From Fox News: A truck driver arrested Wednesday for allegedly running a red light and causing a fatal crash in Indiana is an illegal alien from India, multiple federal law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.

Singh Sukhdeep received is commercial driver’s license in May 2025. He was caught crossing the U.S. border in 2018, but released. He was a minor at the time of the crossing.

Sukhdeep is now in ICE custody.

Driving a Freightliner semi-truck with a trailer, Sukhdeep reportedly ran a red light, struck a pickup truck driven by Terry Schultz, 64, and sent it careening across a median, where it struck another vehicle.

Sadly, Schultz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin announced:

Per multiple federal sources, a semi truck driver arrested yesterday after allegedly running a red light in Hendricks County, IN and crashing into another driver, killing him, is an Indian illegal alien who was caught and released at the border in 2018 by the first Trump administration. I’m told he was a minor at the time.

While local police have not yet identified him, federal sources tell @FoxNews his name is Singh Sukhdeep, and he received his CDL from the red state of Indiana in May 2025. Photo of the license is provided via federal source. (I have redacted his address). He is now in ICE custody.

DHS provided the following statement: “This tragedy comes less than two weeks after another illegal alien driving a semi truck killed four innocent people in Indiana. It is incredibly dangerous for illegal aliens, who often don’t know our traffic laws or even English, to be operating semi-trucks on America’s roads. These tragedies are 100% preventable and we pray for the family and victim.”

“As for why the first Trump admin would have released him into the US, DHS is pointing me to the 1993 Flores consent decree, which they say ordered DHS to release minors from detention to available sponsors,” Melugin explained.

Fox59 anchor Angela Ganote shared additional details on Sukhdeep:

He was formally living in New York and as of January of this year he was living in New Palestine, IN.

Looking at his Indiana driving history he has 5 citations since 2022 and many are wondering how he was able to get a CDL in Indiana. We don’t yet know the answer.

He was ticketed for not having insurance after a car crash on January 8th on Harding Street. He has 3 previous speeding tickets where he was accused of traveling 89 in a 70, 76 in a 55 and 74-55. He also has a citation for no registration.
And of course, the fatal crash yesterday on February 18th.

His NON-DOMICILED CDL was just issued in 2025.

Ganote added: “Working to confirm a new possible nugget. A source tells me. There is a weakness in the system when it comes to get a CDL. For example, in the fatality yesterday, I am told Singh previously held a valid New York CDL. He was then able to take that to the Indiana BMV and apply for a valid Indiana CDL. He was then required to prove Indiana residency and surrender his NY CDL. I have reached out to lawmakers and others trying to confirm this flaw etc.”

Ganote had complained earlier that state police had refused to release the identity of the truck driver.

Fox News explained that in 2019 (the year after Sukhdeep crossed the border as a minor) the first Trump administration had moved to abolish the Clinton-era policy which required illegal alien children to be released to a sponsor, instead of being deported.

Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) wrote, “Another day another fatal collision involving an illegal alien behind the wheel of a semi truck. I am praying for Terry Schultz’s family. I will not stop fighting to keep these tragedies from happening again and again.”

Sen. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) wrote, “Another Hoosier’s life was stolen by an illegal trucker. All truckers must be legal, be able to read English, and follow the law. The entire state of Indiana is praying for Terry Shultz’s loved ones.”

Just two weeks ago, another illegal alien truck driver crashed into a van and killed four people in Indiana. The truck driver Bekzhan Beishekeev, is a Kyrgyzstani national who entered the U.S. via the Biden-era CBP One cell phone app on Dec. 19, 2024, at the Nogales, Ariz., port of entry, and was released into the U.S. via parole by the Biden administration.
