From NY PostVoters aren’t too keen on California’s top Democrats.

Governor Gavin Newsom and former Vice President Kamala Harris — two of the Democratic party’s most prominent faces — are underwater with voters, according to a new NBC News poll released Sunday.

Among the 1,000 registered voters interviewed for the survey, only 27% said they had a positive view of the California Governor, with 45% saying they have a negative view.

As for Harris, 51% have a negative view and 34% had a positive view.

There is some good news for Harris in the poll. It found that Harris is preferred over Newsom.

Primary voters were asked if they prefer a party-aligned candidate over someone who is more likely to win an election. They went with Harris – 67% of Democrats viewed Harris more positively than Newsom – 52%.

Both Harris and Newsom appear to be preparing themselves for future presidential runs.
