Federal prosecutors say Brett Michael Dadig, a Pittsburgh man accused of violently stalking at least 11 women across more than five states, relied on ChatGPT as a “therapist” and “best friend” that encouraged his harassment campaign.
According to a federal indictment in Pittsburgh, 31-year-old influencer Brett Michael Dadig — who called himself “God’s assassin” and threatened to strangle people with his bare hands — faces decades in prison on charges of interstate stalking and making threats.
The indictment describes a pattern of violent harassment, repeated court-order violations, and the use of AI tools to justify his behavior. Prosecutors say Dadig told investigators that ChatGPT encouraged him to keep posting, telling him to ignore “haters” who were “sharpening” him and helping him “build a voice that can’t be ignored.” He reportedly took the responses as validation of “God’s plan” for him to build his platform.
The filing says Dadig even asked ChatGPT about his “future wife.” When the chatbot suggested he might meet her “at a boutique gym or in an athletic community,” he used that as justification to keep returning to gyms where he repeatedly harassed women.
Several victims secured restraining orders, but prosecutors say he violated them repeatedly and recorded podcasts claiming he’d been “falsely accused.” After being banned from gyms, he allegedly used aliases to get back in, bragging online that “Aliases stay rotating, moves stay evolving.”
This Brett Dadig guy, charged with Cyberstalking, Interstate Stalking and Threats, seems like the creep of all creeps. Read the charging documents if you get a chance. Guy is diabolical. Needs to be off the street. He made these women live in total fear. https://t.co/IkmRZIpWzt
