1 – Trump drops major tease in VP stakes — where Americans will see the potential running mate

From Fox News: Former President Trump says he knows who he will choose as his running mate but says he has yet to reveal to anyone the name of that choice. When speaking with reporters this weekend, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said he has settled on a vice presidential nominee.

“In my mind, yeah,” Trump said when asked by NBC News at a retail stop in Philadelphia on Saturday if he has decided on his running mate. When asked if the person he has picked is aware, the former president responded, “No, nobody knows.”

Trump added that the person he has picked will “most likely” attend Thursday’s first debate between Trump and President Biden, which will take place in Atlanta. “They’ll be there,” the former president added. “I think we have a lot of people coming.”

“I’ll be announcing it right around the time of the convention,” Trump reiterated to Fox News, as he pointed to the Republican National Convention, which kicks off on Monday, July 15 in Milwaukee.

2 – ABC host grills Warren over Biden’s border numbers compared to Trump

From the Daily Caller: ABC host Martha Raddatz grilled Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Sunday, asking about the high number of migrant apprehensions under President Joe Biden’s administration compared to that of former President Donald Trump.

Warren appeared on ABC’s “This Week” to discuss her support of Biden ahead of the first 2024 presidential debate Thursday. During the interview, Raddatz pivoted to the ongoing crisis at the southern border following Biden’s June 4, 2024 immigration executive order, which limits new asylum requests based on a weekly daily average of encounters between land ports of entry.

3 – Joe Biden is being lambasted over a statement about the border posted on his X/Twitter account over the weekend

Biden (or someone on his team) wrote, “We can secure our border and provide legal pathways to citizenship. We’re America – we don’t have to make a choice between the two.”

4 – Watch ‘Squad’ Reps. AOC, Bowman’s cringeworthy antics at R-rated NYC rally to boost embattled Dem

From the NY Post: Desperate Dem Rep. Jamaal Bowman enlisted heavy artillery from his party’s progressive wing for a weekend rally in The Bronx to try to shore up his flailing re-election bid — but viral clips of the event’s cringey on-stage antics show the last-ditch effort badly back-fired.

Footage from Saturday’s campaign rally at St. Mary’s Park in Mott Haven showed the severely struggling incumbent and fellow “Squad’ member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez acting like buffoons from the stage, gifting the Internet with heaps of unintentional humor.

AOC kicked things off by stomping around on stage to a blaring Cardi B song, appearing to try to summon the pomp of a superstar rapper about to perform her biggest hit to an adoring crowd. “Hoes better lower they tone when they spittin’. Bitches is washed, soap on the dishes. I apply pressure like boa constrictors,” X-rated lyrics from the Cardi B song “Enough” pumped over the PA system as the congresswoman from New York City continued her gyrations.

“Are you ready to win this country back? Are you ready to FIGHT…?!!” the Democrat socialist screamed.

Then Bowman, who famously pulled a fire alarm in the U.S. Capitol before a critical vote in September 2023, led the crowd in screaming ceasefire chant, and launched into a profanity-laced tirade.

“We gonna show them who the f–k we are!” he screeched. “We are gonna show f–king AIPAC the power of the motherf–king South Bronx!”

5 – Pictures reveal extraordinary perk Fauci still gets despite leaving his $500k-per-year government job

From the Daily Mail: Anthony Fauci is still getting a taxpayer-funded security detail and SUV, despite retiring from his $480,000-a-year government job 18 months ago.

Now a top Republican has accused the former White House COVID advisor of trying to get ‘sympathy’ by claiming extremists want to kill him and he is the target of death threats. During the publicity tour to promote his new book, 83-year-old Fauci recently said he is scared ‘deep down, that there’s a possibility that somebody’s gonna kill me.’

Dr. Fauci, who has an estimated $11 million net worth, is constantly surrounded by US Marshals whether he is at home or going to TV studios to film interviews. Over the weekend he was spotted arriving back at his home in the Washington D.C. area in workout gear after getting out of a black government SUV.

At least six US Marshals were seen with a fleet of vehicles parked in his neighborhood, ready for whenever he leaves his property – which according to real estate websites is worth around $2.2million.

6 – Death toll rises after gunmen attack Christian, Jewish churches in Islamic area of Russia

From Reuters: The death toll from a series of brazen attacks on churches and synagogues in Russia’s mainly Muslim region of Dagestan rose to 20 on Monday after gunmen went on the rampage in coordinated attacks in two of the republic’s most important cities.
Gunmen with automatic weapons burst into an Orthodox church and a synagogue in the ancient city of Derbent on Sunday evening, setting fire to an icon at the church and killing a 66-year-old Orthodox priest, Nikolai Kotelnikov.

In the city of Makhachkala, about 125 km (75 miles) north on the Caspian Sea shore, attackers shot at a traffic police post and attacked a church. Gun battles erupted around the Assumption Cathedral in Makhachkala and heavy automatic gunfire rang out late into the night. Footage showed residents running for cover as plumes of smoke rose above the city.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Russia’s investigative committee said 15 policemen and four civilians were killed. According to Dagestan’s healthcare ministry, 46 more people were wounded.

Dagestan is a mainly Muslim republic of Russia’s North Caucasus, a patchwork of ethnic groups, languages and regions that live in the shadow of the Caucasus mountains between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. The attack on Christian and Jewish places of worship stoked fears Russia may be facing a renewed militant Islamist threat just three months after a deadly attack in Moscow.

7 – School district apologizes after Muslim group condemns calling ISIS ‘terror group’

From Fox News: A New Jersey school district apologized for offending a Muslim activist group this week after a middle school teacher featured a class quiz question naming the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, as a terror group.

The Wayne Township Public Schools superintendent’s office sent out a statement to the district expressing regret over an “inappropriate” question that was asked during a quiz at Schuyler-Colfax Middle School earlier this week.

“The question was offensive and contrary to our values of respect, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity,” the office said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The superintendent’s letter addressed a recent complaint made by the activist group “Teaching While Muslim” (TWM) on social media.

8 – Brave nurse on why she blew the whistle on Texas children’s hospital accused of manipulating parents into giving kids life-changing trans treatments

From the New York Post: HOUSTON, Texas — A nurse at the nation’s largest children’s hospital says doctors pressured parents to give their kids hormone therapy and other transgender medicine interventions — warning that their children might kill themselves if they held off on treatments.

Vanessa Sivadge has worked at a Texas Children’s Hospital clinic where kids are given gender-affirming care since 2021. She said that doctors there are more driven by “ideology” than what was best for the youths, many of whom had additional underlying problems.

“Parents were manipulated by doctors with an ideological agenda to go down this path of medical transition for their child,” Sivadge told The Post in an exclusive interview. “And I do think that doctors would use manipulative language to suggest that if they didn’t do this their child would commit suicide or they would harm themselves.”

Sivadge, 31, also alleged that doctors would mis-categorize the treatments to justify gender-affirming care. She believes that the doctors are using the strategy to get around a ban by Texas Medicaid on covering hormone treatments for transgender medicine.

The Houston healthcare worker said she is now being hounded by the FBI for speaking out. Agents visited her home after she spoke to the conservative journalist Chris Rufo, and suggested she was part of an investigation into violations of HIPAA patient privacy laws.

9 – Major restaurant franchise owner shuts after 30 years – after California’s $20/hour minimum wage increase

From the Daily Mail: The owner of a fast food franchise store which has been operating for more than 30 years has closed his restaurant for good. The branch of the McDonald’s at Stonestown Galleria, about eight miles south of downtown San Francisco, abruptly shut on Sunday, in what is the latest causality of California’s new $20-an-hour minimum wage. Workers saw their wages rise from $16 to $20-an-hour on January 1 – but the added expense for owners to pay their workers has hit businesses hard.

Fast food chains across the state have been slashing jobs as a way to cut costs, but franchisee owner, Scott Rodrick, was forced to take drastic action after the landlord was unwilling to negotiate a long-term lease at a ‘sensible’ price for the location. Rodrick also explained that the property taxes and shared tenant mall fees were also the highest paid for a single location for the company. He was faced with no choice but to close down.

10 – Millions in Taxpayer Cash Awarded to Subsidiary of U.S.-Sanctioned CCP ‘Military Company’

From the Washington Free Beacon: The federal government awarded $2.6 million in taxpayer cash to a biotech company controlled by a Chinese firm that is sanctioned by the American government and designated as a CCP “military company,” spending records show.

From 2011 to 2024, the U.S. government awarded $2.6 million over 151 separate transactions to Innomics, a Massachusetts-based subsidiary of the Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI) Group, a Chinese gene harvesting powerhouse that the Pentagon lists as a “Communist Chinese military company” for its alleged role in supporting Beijing’s ongoing genocide against the Uyghur ethnic minority.

Several of BGI’s affiliates are listed on U.S. government trade blacklists for allegedly fueling the Communist regime’s mass surveillance of citizens. Watchdog groups have also raised concerns that Chinese genome companies like BGI are amassing large quantities of private American health care data via their U.S. affiliates.

Innomics was identified by the Wall Street Journal in May as one of several “blacklisted Chinese companies” that rebranded in recent years to avoid a regulatory crackdown in the United States. The company was formerly called BGI Americas but changed its name last year “to avoid regulatory scrutiny,” according to lawmakers on the House China Committee, which is investigating efforts by CCP-tied firms like BGI to obfuscate their operations in America.
