BREAKING: Pam Bondi is OUT as Attorney General

From Fox News: President Donald Trump reportedly has already fired Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to two sources familiar with the matter who spoke with Fox News Digital.

Bondi met with Trump in the Oval Office Wednesday night ahead of his speech to the nation on the war in Iran, where she reportedly was informed of her ouster, according to two sources familiar with the meeting.

One of those sources said that by the time Trump took his place behind the podium for the address, Bondi already lost her job and was on her way back to Florida.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy reported just after noon on Thursday that Bondi is indeed OUT as Attorney General, and deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will now serve as interim Attorney General.

Doocy said Trump still likes Bondi, and will give her another position within the administration, but it is unclear what that will be as of yet.

It is uncertain yet whether Blanche will remains as Attorney General, or whether Trump will appoint someone else to serve in the top role long term.

Fox News also reported:

Trump is reportedly considering replacing Bondi with Environmental Protection Agency Director Lee Zeldin, according to the sources familiar with the matter. Trump held a meeting with Zeldin at the White House Tuesday to discuss wildfire and prevention, where talks of the transition also unfolded, according to an individual familiar with the meeting.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) wrote, “If the reports that Lee Zeldin will be replacing Pam Bondi as Attorney General are true – I welcome it. Bondi handled the Epstein Files in a terrible manner and made this situation far worse than it had to be for President Trump. I look forward to a new Attorney General committed to getting justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein.”
