BOOM: Black American man fires back at Schumer’s excuse for opposing voter ID

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is continuing to repeat his claims that the SAVE America Act, which would mandate voter ID and ensure only American citizens could vote in US elections, is “Jim Crow 2.0.”

He claims that minorities don’t have driver’s licenses and aren’t able to obtain their birth certificates or a photo ID – a claim many minorities are finding offensive.

President Donald Trump has been pushing for Republicans to abolish the filibuster in order to pass the SAVE Act, and recently threatened to not sign any further bills at all until the SAVE Act is passed.

Schumer declared in a post on X Sunday, “The SAVE Act is Jim Crow 2.0. It would disenfranchise tens of millions of people. If Trump is saying he won’t sign any bills until the SAVE Act is passed, then so be it: there will be total gridlock in the Senate. Senate Democrats will not help pass the SAVE Act under any circumstances.”

On Tuesday, podcaster Zeek Arkham, a Black American, fired back at Schumer in an EPIC takedown. He wrote:

Dear Chuck Schumer,

Hi. Black dude here. I can trace my family ancestry to slavery. I even know where they were slaves. My mom experienced Jim Crow. I think I’ve watched every episode of “Eyes On the Prize” when I was younger.

With that said…

Can you directly explain to me how the SAVE Act is “Jim Crow 2.0?” Literally every black person I know has ID. Literally every black person I know has a car or at least a ride. Literally every black person I know knows how to vote (well… except the ones with felonies… but they don’t count).

With your advanced white liberal thinking, you must know more than me. Apparently, as I experience daily on this app, white liberals are experts on being black; even more so than actual black folks. Perhaps you could explain it like I’m five. I’d look it up on the internet, but Kathy Hochul has already told me I don’t know what a computer is and Joe Biden said I can’t navigate it, anyway.

@SenSchumer I am First born son of former Sudanese slaves who immigrated to the USA in 1934. I was born in NYC in 1938. I graduated from Fordham. Served as USAF pilot in Vietnam. Served as a State Department FSO. I have never known a Black American not to have an ID card.

Retired airline pilot Jim Schmidt also brought “receipts” to the table. He wrote:

List of democrat party “civil rights” achievements
* Bought and held slaves
* Started a Civil War to keep them
* Founded KKK to dominate them
* Wrote and enforced Jim Crow laws to control them
* Filibustered civil rights legislation
* Created and enforced segregation
