President Donald Trump has been back in the Oval Office for 13 months and is delivering his first official State of the Union address of his second term Tuesday night.
Trump’s speech will start at 9:00 p.m. ET, and is expected to last as long as two hours.
Erika Kirk will reportedly be one of Trump’s guests at the event.
Fox News reported that the president gave them a preview of his speech, which shows he plans to lean heavily on an economic message, and will call for a new form of corporate and personal tax cuts.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt released the following statement earlier on Tuesday:
President Trump’s State of the Union Address will celebrate 250 glorious years of our nation’s independence and excellence, highlighting incredible stories of American heroes throughout the speech.
In one year, President Trump has turned our country around from the brink of disaster, and he will rightly declare the State of Our Union is strong, prosperous and respected.
President Trump will proudly tout his Administration’s many record-breaking accomplishments, and also layout an ambitious agenda to continue bringing the American Dream back for working people.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Tuesday evening, “Tonight, President Trump will celebrate the story of America’s greatness and outline a bold vision for the years ahead. I cannot wait to hear his historic speech. Tune in at 9:00 PM!”

Oddly, Fox News also reported that Texas Republican Rep. Wesley Hunt will not be attending the State of the Union in person. Instead, Hunt, who is running for U.S. Senate in an attempt to take Sen. John Cornyn’s seat, will hosting a watch party in Texas.
In a defiant stunt, dozens of House and Senate Democrats are skipping out on Trump’s speech, with many planning to attend a leftist-led event on the National Mall, which they are calling the “People’s State of the Union.” The event will reportedly be hosted by former MSNBC host Joy Reid.
According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, at last count a total of 73 Democrats have bailed out of President Trump’s State of the Union address.
