From the New York Post: A baby-faced 11-year-old accused of executing his adoptive father after he took away his Nintendo Switch was hauled into court in handcuffs on Thursday.

Clayton Dietz is being charged as an adult with criminal homicide after he shot his father dead in his bed on Jan. 13 — the child’s birthday — in Duncannon, Pa., north of Harrisburg.

The bespectacled boy, surrounded by probation officers, appeared to be tripping over himself as he walked into the Perry County Courthouse for a hearing Thursday afternoon, shocking video from WHP shows.

Clayton, who was adopted in 2018, shot 42-year-old Douglas Dietz with a revolver he found in the dad’s safe, according to prosecutors.

The report explains that police responded to a 911 call around 3:20 a.m. on January 13, and found the father had been shot in the head, while the 11-year-old boy was screaming “Daddy’s dead! I killed Daddy!” at the top of his lungs.

The boy told police his parents had taken away his gaming system and locked it in the gun safe. He said he found the keys to the gun safe, opened it, took out the gun, loaded bullets into it, and then shot his father in the head while he was asleep in bed.

The mother said was awakened by a loud noise and nudged her husband to wake up, then heard something dripping – only to realize it was his blood.

The 11-year-old boy has been charged as an adult with criminal homicide for the deadly shooting.

While in court on Thursday, the boy was overheard telling his mother that the handcuffs were hurting him.

CBS21 noted that in Pennsylvania, anyone over 10 years old accused of murder is charged as an adult.
