From NY Post: President Trump told The Post that a secret new weapon he calls “The Discombobulator” was essential to the daring US raid that captured Venezuela’s drug-dealing dictator Nicolas Maduro.
Trump boasted that the mysterious weapon “made [enemy] equipment not work” when US helicopters swooped into Caracas on Jan. 3 to arrest Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, on federal drug and weapons charges — without losing a single American life.
“The Discombobulator. I’m not allowed to talk about it,” Trump said during an exclusive interview in the Oval Office.
“They never got their rockets off,” he said. “They had Russian and Chinese rockets, and they never got one off. We came in, they pressed buttons and nothing worked. They were all set for us.”
Details about the weapon at unknown, but Maduro’s gunmen were reportedly brought to their knees, “bleeding through the nose” and vomiting blood.
One guard said that “suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation.”
Trump also said the US may conduct land strikes on drug cartels “anywhere,” including Mexico, and Central and South America.
“We’re going to hit the cartels,” he told The Post. “We know their routes. We know everything about them. We know their homes. We know everything about them. We’re going to hit the cartels.”
Trump also told the Post that Venezuelan oil the U.S. has seized is aboard seven recently-seized tankers. He could not reveal the location of the ships.
“I’m not allowed to tell you,” Trump said. “But let’s put it this way, they don’t have any oil. We take the oil.”
