During a White House press briefing on Thursday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt completely eviscerated a leftist reporter who tried to flip the script while she was speaking about the violent attacks on federal immigration officials in multiple cities, including an attack by three illegal alien Venezuelans in Minneapolis Wednesday night.
The reporter, Niall Stanage, who is from Ireland and works for The Hill, asked Leavitt, “Thirty-two people died in ICE custody last year, 170 US citizens were detained by ICE and Renee Good was shot in the head and killed by an ICE agent. How does that equate to them doing everything correctly?”
FACT CHECK PAUSE: The ICE website includes a list of all detained aliens who died while in custody. The website currently lists only 18 illegal aliens who died in custody during fiscal year 2025, most of natural causes. Other illegal aliens have been reported as dying while they were fleeing from ICE.
In response to Stanage’s question, Leavitt cooly asked, “Why was Renee Good unfortunately and tragically killed?”
Stanage retorted, “Because an ICE agent acted recklessly and killed her unjustifiably.”
That’s when Leavitt began a scorching rebuke that left the Irish reporter stammering and speechless.
“So you’re a biased reporter with a left-wing opinion,” Leavitt began. “You’re a left-wing hack. You’re not a reporter. You’re posing in this room as a journalist… You and the people in the media who have such biases but fake like you’re a journalist — you shouldn’t even be sitting in that seat.”
“You’re pretending that you’re a journalist but you’re really just a left-wing activist, and the question that you just raised proves that you’re biased. You should be reporting on the facts”
“Do you have the numbers of how many American citizens were killed at the hands of illegal aliens who ICE is trying to remove from this country? I bet you don’t. I bet you didn’t even read up on those stories,” she continued.
