While delivering a speech to the Detroit Economic Club on Tuesday, President Donald Trump doubled down on his message to the thousands of Iranian protesters who are fighting for their freedom and seeking to take down the hard-lined Islamic regime.

Trump repeated the message he had written on Truth Social earlier Tuesday morning, in which he stated, “Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY. MIGA!!!”

Later, CBS reporter Tony Dokoupil told President Trump about the news that Iran is planning to publicly hang one protester on Wednesday.

Trump said he hadn’t heard about that yet, but warned it’s not going to work out good for Iran if they do such a thing.

Back at the airport, President Trump confirmed that he’s going to be looking further into what’s going on in Iran.

One reporter told Trump, “Iran says that it will retaliate in the instance of U.S. strikes, against U.S. assets in the Middle East.”

Trump retorted, “Yeah, Iran said that the last time I blew them up with the nuclear capability, which they don’t have any longer, so… they better behave.”

Another reporter asked, “Do you have a message for the leaders of Iran?”

“The message is they’ve got to show humanity. They’ve got a big problem, and I hope they’re not going to be killing people… it would seem to me that they have been badly misbehaving, but that is not confirmed,” Trump replied.
