From Fox News: “Dilbert” cartoonist Scott Adams has died at the age of 68, his former wife announced on his show Tuesday morning.

“He’s not with us anymore,” Shelly Miles told listeners.

“He has a final message that he wanted to say, so I am going to try and read it. I’m trying to be strong,” she added before sharing Adams’ note to fans.

“If you’re reading this, things did not go well for me. I have a few things to say before I go. My body fell before my brain. I am of sound mind as I write this January 1, 2026. If you wonder about any of my choices for my estate, or anything else, please know I am free of any… inappropriate influence of any sort, I promise,” Miles said on behalf of Adams.

About two weeks ago, Adams said he planned to convert to Christianity, at the urging of his Christian followers.

“I’ve not been a believer,” Adams had said. “You’re going to hear for the first time today that it is my plan to convert [to Christianity]. I still have time. My understanding is that you’re never too late.”

So, in his final message, read by his former wife Tuesday morning, Adams said, “Next, many of my Christian friends have asked me to find Jesus before I go. I am not a believer, I have to admit the risk/reward calculation for doing so looks so attractive to me, so here I go. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and look forward to spending an eternity with him. The part about me not being a believer should be quickly resolved if I wake up in Heaven. I won’t need any more convincing than that. I hope I am still qualified for entry.”

Below is the video just on posted Adams’ X account Tuesday morning, as Miles announces his passing. She indicated he passed away just minutes before the scheduled time for his morning podcast show to start.

The family also posted the written transcript of Adams’ final message.

Adams continued to host his morning show throughout his illness. His final show was on Monday.   In the show prior to that, on Sunday, he had interviewed Fox News host Greg Gutfeld.

Gutfeld reacted to the news of his death Tuesday morning, writing, “Rest in glorious peace, @ScottAdamsSays – you changed more lives and made the world infinitely better. God bless you and thank you for everything you did for me. We will always love you.”

Adams was a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump. The president paid tribute to Adams, writing in a Truth Social post, “Sadly, the Great Influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a fantastic guy, who liked and respected me when it wasn’t fashionable to do so. He bravely fought a long battle against a terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family, and all of his many friends and listeners. He will be truly missed. God bless you Scott!”

Vice President JD Vance wrote, “Scott Adams was a true American original, and a great ally to the President of the United States and the entire administration. My prayers go to Scott and all of you who loved him. We lost one of the good ones but we’ll never forget him.”

Many more tributes are pouring in on social media…

The liberal PEOPLE Magazine posted a sneering headline.
