From Fox News: Former President Bill Clinton appears to have defied a congressional subpoena to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday morning.
Clinton was compelled to sit for a sworn closed-door deposition in the House’s bipartisan probe into Jeffrey Epstein, but Fox News Digital did not see him before or after the scheduled 10 a.m. grilling.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., had threatened to begin contempt of Congress proceedings against Clinton if he did not appear Tuesday.
Both Bill and Hillary Clinton were originally scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee in December, but the hearing dates were moved to January 13 for him and the 14th for her at their own request, as they cited a scheduling conflict.

Now, instead of Bill showing up for his hearing Tuesday morning, the Clintons both just posted a defiant 4-page letter on X, addressed to Chairman Comer.
In the letter, they begin with a rant about ICE agents wearing masks and federal immigration operations, and claim an ICE agent just killed “an unarmed mother.” They complain that Trump pardoned the January 6 prisoners, lament over the National Guard being deployed to American cities (to help control crime), and whine about cuts being made to federal agencies (to stop wasteful spending.)
“Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principals and its people, no matter the consequences. For us, now is that time,” the Clintons wrote.
They claim that 8 other people were subpoenaed in addition to themselves, and say seven of those were dismissed without ever having to testify.
“A legal analysis prepared by two law firms and provided to you yesterday makes clear your subpoenas were legally invalid,” they claim.
“We have tried to give you the little information we have. We have done so because Mr. Epstein’s crime were horrific. If the government didn’t do all it could to investigate and prosecute these crimes, for whatever reason, that should be the focus of your work,” they declared in the letter.
