The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed it has appointed career agent Christopher Raia, head of the New York Field Office, as deputy director following the departure of Dan Bongino.

Raia, who helped lead the response to the New Year’s Day truck attack in New Orleans, was appointed to head the FBI’s New York Field Office in April after serving as a top counterterrorism official at headquarters. A former Coast Guard officer who joined the FBI in 2003, Raia has spent two decades investigating violent crime, drugs, and gangs, and has overseen counterterrorism and national security cases. He will serve as co–deputy director alongside Andrew Bailey.

Bongino also announced Monday that he would revive his podcast and video show on the streaming platform Rumble, beginning Feb. 2. It will be a two-hour program airing weekdays at 10 a.m. EST, and the show will also be available on all major audio platforms, such as Apple Music and Spotify, with Westwood One serving as Bongino’s sales partner for his sponsorships and advertisements.

Bongino stepped down from the FBI last month after reportedly clashing with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, citing frustration with what he described as a lack of transparency. A longtime ally of President Trump, Bongino rose to prominence in conservative media during Trump’s first term.
