POLL: Should the U.S. take military action to help Iranians overthrow their Islamic government?

8

A major uprising in cities all across Iran has now passed the two-week mark, as Iranian citizens are seeking to overthrow the strict Islamic Republic regime and end the reign of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Encouraged by exiled opposition leader, Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, and emboldened by President Donald Trump’s promise to help, Iranians are continuing their push for freedom. They are bravely marching in the streets, yanking down the Islamic Republic flags and restoring Iran’s former flag, burning images of Khamenei, burning mosques and renaming streets after President Trump.  Women are also boldly removing and burning their head coverings, which the Islamic regime has demanded they wear.

On Saturday, Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, “Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The Iranians reportedly want Pahlavi to return and take control.

Speaking with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo Sunday morning, Pahlavi delivered an urgent plea to Trump: “Mr. President, you have already forged a legacy as a man of peace. Your words of solidarity have given Iranians the strength to fight for freedom. And while Khamenei and his thugs call for “Death to America,” the Iranian people are renaming streets after you. They know you have their back and will not abandon them like Obama and Biden. After the fall of this terrorist regime, they will be your best partner for peace and prosperity. Help them liberate themselves and Make Iran Great Again!”

Despite President Trump’s earlier warning that Iran better not attack the protesters or they will face the wrath of the United States, the Iranian regime has reportedly killed over 500 protesters, and human rights groups claim thousands have been arrested. However, the Iranian people are not giving up, and the mass protests are continuing.

The New York Post reported Saturday that the Trump administration is reportedly preparing preliminary plans for an attack on Iran, including the option of large-scale airstrikes.

CBS News reported Sunday afternoon:

President Trump was briefed on new options for military strikes in Iran, a senior U.S. official confirmed Sunday.

Mr. Trump appeared to lay out his red line for action on Friday when he warned that if the Iranian government began “killing people like they have in the past, we would get involved.”

“We’ll be hitting them very hard where it hurts,” he said at the White House. “And that doesn’t mean boots on the ground, but it means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts.”

Senate Republicans wrote on X Sunday, “The people of Iran were the first victims of the murderous Ayatollahs. President Trump is right to stand with the Iranian people.”
