ELECTION NEWS: Fulton County, Georgia ADMITS 315,000 votes were illegally certified, counted in 2020 election

In the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden was declared the winner in Georgia by just over 11,000 votes.

Incredulous over the election results, President Donald Trump had made phone calls to officials in Georgia, asking them to double check the reported voting totals.  For that, Trump was indicted in Fulton County, and accused of trying to overthrow the election.

Now, a report was just published last Wednesday, Dec. 17, which reveals Trump had very good reason to question the election results in Georgia.

From The Federalist: Earlier this month, Fulton County admitted that approximately 315,000 early votes from the 2020 election were illegally certified but were nonetheless still included in the final results of that election.

The admission came during a Dec. 9 hearing before the Georgia State Election Board (SEB) stemming from a challenge filed by David Cross, a local election integrity activist. Cross filed a challenge with the SEB in March 2022. Cross alleged that Fulton County violated Georgia statute in the handling of advanced voting ahead of the November 2020 election, counting hundreds of thousands of votes even though polling workers failed to sign off on the vote tabulation “tapes” critical to the certification process.

And Fulton County admitted to it.

Ann Brumbaugh, attorney for the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, told the SEB in the hearing that while she has “not seen the tapes” herself, the county does “not dispute that the tapes were not signed.” Brumbaugh continued, “It was a violation of the rule. We, since 2020, again, we have new leadership and a new building and a new board and a new standard operating procedures. And since then the training has been enhanced. … But … we don’t dispute the allegation from the 2020 election.”

Georgia’s Secretary of State Office investigated the alleged failure to sign tabluation tapes and “substantiated” the findings that Fulton County “violated Official Election Record Document Processes when it was discovered that thirty-six (36) out of thirty-seven (37) Advanced Voting Precincts in Fulton County, Georgia failed to sign the Tabulation Tapes as required [by statute],” according to a 2024 investigation summary. In addition to probing the unsigned tabulation tapes, the investigation also found that officials at 32 polling sites failed to verify their zero tapes.

The illegally certified votes made up the majority of all of the county’s early in-person votes in the 2020 election.

Podcaster Clay Travis wrote, “So Fulton County, Georgia — Atlanta — now admits they completely violated the law with their 2020 vote tally. Read below. This not only cost Trump the state, it also cost Republicans a senate seat, which gave Democrats control in 2020.”

“Told ya so,” replied Rudy Giuliani.

Donald Trump Jr. reacted to the news.

“So what we all knew back in 2020, what we all stated out loud and everyone in the media, the establishment, and the Washington DC machine lied about ended up being 100% true. I’m so shocked! 🙄 Yet another conspiracy theory proven right!” he wrote.

Author Hans Mahncke wrote, “A five-years-too-late admission that Georgia illegally certified 315,000 ballots in the 2020 election, handing Joe Biden a “win” by just 11,779 votes, is not a small detail. It is a historic breach of democratic accountability. The fact that President Trump eventually won reelection does not erase what was done. He was vilified, canceled, and relentlessly prosecuted for stating what has now been acknowledged as true all along. If this passes without consequence, it will eventually be looked back on as the moment when inaction, not the wrongdoing itself, became the defining failure of democracy.”

In another stunning, tone-deaf development, on the very SAME DAY the report was published by The Federalist, the New York Times published another report titled, “‘Who’s Gonna Stop You?’ Listen to Trump Press Georgia Speaker Over 2020 Vote.”

Still insisting that President Trump was in the wrong, The New York Times touted a newly-obtained recording of a phone call from Trump in late 2020 to the speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives, and claimed Trump was “citing false conspiracy theories of election fraud in Georgia.”

And yet Fulton County officials have just admitted that about 315,000 votes were illegally certified and counted in the 2020 election.

Georgia State Sen. Greg Dolezal posted a video message on the issue:
