OPINION: If President Donald Trump announced a cure for cancer and provided it free to every patient tomorrow, Democrats would still find fault with it.
Meanwhile, ABC’s Whoopi Goldberg is mad that Trump is giving a bonus to military service members.
From Breitbart: Thursday on ABC’s “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said President Donald Trump’s plan to give bonus checks to active military members was to ensure they do what he wants.
Wednesday night, Trump said, “Tonight, I am also proud to announce that more than 1,450,000 — think of this —1,450,000 military service members will receive a special, we call ‘warrior dividend,’ before Christmas, a warrior dividend in honor of our nation’s founding in 1776. We are sending every soldier $1,776. Think of that, and the checks are already on the way. Nobody understood that one until about 30 minutes ago.”
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said, “The one thing I’ll give him credit is bonus to troops and giving them $1700.”
Goldberg first claimed, “Let’s see if they get the check. I want to see if they get it first.”
She then wildly claimed, “And what he’s doing now is he’s thinking, if I make sure the soldiers have what they need they’ll back me and what I want.”
Goldberg sneered that Trump “interrupted prime-time programing to defend what he’s done to the country in less than a year.”

Goldberg is being blasted in the comments section after the video of the segment was posted on X.
“Biden gave illegals cash for Christmas. Trump gave our military a Christmas bonus,” one social media user wrote.
Another X user fired back at Goldberg, “I’m the spouse of a retired member of the US Army. I can assure the squawking hens, on The View, the bonus money for our active duty is not a quid pro quo. Comments, like this, come from a foundation of hate toward our military. I can’t imagine living with this much TDS. Sad…”
Many people are pointing out that since President Trump is their Commander in Chief, all military service members already do what he says. He doesn’t need to buy their obedience.
She’s crazy as hell. President Trump is paying our troops a little extra money. Made off tariffs. That’s what I consider my tax dollars and I’m absolutely ok with this. I’m not ok with the way Congress spends our money however. 🤷
