Psalm 51:9-12
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
[King James version]
“Dear Heavenly Father, we present our lives to You today, in all our weakness and unworthiness, and ask You to please cleanse us once again. Our garments are stained with sin, and our hearts are filled with selfish desires and wrong spirits. Maybe we’ve become hard and discouraged. Help us to just turn yesterday’s problems all over to you, knowing you alone can blot out the stain from our mistakes, and make us clean again to start a new day.
“Restore our joy, and help us to spread the joy of Your love and salvation to others. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.”
