VIDEO: Trump mixes up story on when Ilhan Omar allegedly married her brother

While speaking at a rally about the economy in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump once again unleashed on Somalian refugee Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

Omar, a radical progressive, has been in the headlines even more than usual in recent days, due to her connections with many from Minnesota’s Somali community who have been involved in a massive fraud scandal.

During his remarks Tuesday night, Trump made reference to allegations that Omar once married her own brother. The Daily Mail had published an extensive report in February 2020, titled, “Ilhan Omar DID marry her brother and said she would ‘do what she had to do to get him “papers” to keep him in U.S.’, reveals Somali community leader.”

According to the Daily Mail, Omar allegedly married her own brother as a plot to get her brother papers so he could stay in the United States. The Daily Mail also provided a copy of the marriage license application.

However, President Trump mixed the story up, and accused Omar of marrying her brother so SHE could get into the U.S.

“She married her brother in order to get in, right? She married her brother. Can you imagine if Donald Trump married his sister? Beautiful. She’s a beautiful person. If I married my sister to get my citizenship, do you think I’d last for about two hours? Or would it be something less than that?” Trump said.

“She married her brother to get in. Therefore, she’s here illegally. She should get the hell out. Throw her the hell out. She does nothing but complain,” he added.

Meanwhile, Fox News host Laura Ingraham pointed again to the 2020 report by the Daily Mail and wrote, “Ilhan Omar DID marry her brother and said she would ‘do what she had to do to get him “papers” to keep him in U.S.’, reveals Somali community leader.”

Billionaire Elon Musk responded, “This is morally and legally wrong.”

Breitbart also shared the following little-discussed details about how Omar got into the United States:

As Breitbart News reported, in July of 2019, a report at Powerline revealed that Omar was permitted to migrate to the U.S.A. in the mid 1990s as a P-3 refugee, meaning she was allowed in based on being related to someone who was already allowed into the country as a resettled refugee.

At the time Ilhan Omar claimed P-3 status, she said she was a member of an “Omar” family that had already been re-settled in the states. Based on that claim, she was given the green light to move here.

But officials eventually discovered that the program was mired in fraud. So much so that the P-3 program was later ended by the George W. Bush administration after it was found that Somalis widely lied about to whom they were related to get into the U.S. The State Department soon began requiring DNA testing to prove relationships and stopped relying on the fraudulent claims of the migrants.

Indeed, officials eventually realized that 87 percent of the people filing for P-3 status were lying about being related to a refugee already in the U.S.A.

The Bush administration became worried that Islamic terrorists were abusing the program to gain entry to the country.
