After an Afghan man opened fire in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday and critically wounded two National Guard members, a video has resurfaced from September 2021 of President Donald Trump warning why the Biden administration should NOT admit Afghan refugees into the U.S.
The gunman on Wednesday was identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who was allowed to come to the U.S. on September 8, 2021, through the Biden administration’s botched refugee program Operation Allies Welcome, following the bungled withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
In early September 2021, Trump sat down for an interview with Full Measure’s Sharyl Attkisson, and voiced his concerns about the Biden administration bringing thousands of refugees from Afghanistan.
“People are being dropped all over the world right now, and nobody knows who the hell they are… these are people who rushed into the planes,” Trump said. “Many of these people are going to be terrorists,” he warned.
Attkisson claimed, “They’re vetting them very carefully, with biometrics and documentation.”
But Trump fired back, “They’re not… and they can’t, because there is no documentation…. they’re dropping them all over the world, and most of them will be coming to the United States.”
The video clip was posted to YouTube on September 6, and the full interview aired on September 12, 2021. But before the interview even aired, at least two would-be terrorists DID come to the United States.
On September 8, 2021, Rahmanullah Lakanwal arrived in the U.S. He just shot two National Guard members on Wednesday, who are now fighting for their lives.
On September 9, 2021, another Afghan refugee, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi arrived in the U.S.. He was just arrested in October 2024 for plotting a major terror attack on U.S. soil, intended to take place on Election Day, November 4, 2024.
Trump had barely gotten the words out of his mouth before his prediction came true.
